TEN399 : OpenSource ADR1399KHZ LM399 10V Ultrastable Precision Voltage Reference

This is Third version of LM399 ADR1399KHZ based reference board, when i made my last version i received quite few small feedback form users , So I have again made few improvements in Third reversion accumulating those suggestions.

Fist improvements is, Board has LT3042 Ultralow Noise, Ultrahigh PSRR RF Linear Regulator To Supply 15V to the ADR1399 and LT1001 , This regulator Offers reverse polarity protection and PG LED.
Board offers Dual Power supply input with a Normal Liner supply input and a USB input with boot converter to use as backup and transport.
There are few minor change in the PCB as well there is great care has been taken in designing slots around the PCB to remove mechanical strain on Chips and reference. Board also now also have a enclosure. Now on the output side both calibrated 10V and Direct reference voltage is also available as output.

  1. Hi, thanks for the great project idea!

I ordered a PCB and built one based on the LM399. :)
Testing looks good so far but there seems to be an initial drift of 100uV already between the power cycles. Iknow those refernces need on the order of 1000s of hours of aging, but do you know what is the expected initial drift? Do you how stable can this be given that there is a pot involved?

I am actually temped to build another one with the ADR1399 for comparison ;)
